NBA SEASON 2009-2010

Yeah I know, it's still the preseason. I bet nobody on this site gives a dime's worth about what's happening in the world of basketball today, because, it's the preseason. But that doesn't matter.

Few things to note:

Ron Artest is now a Laker, who knows how well he'll mesh with Kobe, Zen Master, Odom and all those people.

Odom marries a Kardashian. Now now, sounds like a gossip column 'OOOooooo Odom dates the ugliest Kardashian blahblahblah'. But really, the main point is since the Kardashians run a reality show, forgot its name, doesn't matter what its name is. This means cameras will be all over Lakers' practice facilities as a part of the reality show. Is Odom going to be able to ward off all those distractions? That's the real question.

VC is now a Magic. They lose Alston, Lee and some other players I forgot off the top of my head. However, with the addition of Carter, the Magic is going to contend yet again for that chip, & can do everything Hedo does, but better. Magic is a team to watch out for, especially when Howard, Carter, Nelson are all healthy coming into the post season. & with VC coming to the Magic, Hedo moves to Toronto for some apparent family reasons. The Celtics also get a major upgrade in getting Rasheed Wallace. & the Celtics, along with the Magic and the Cavs, will all contend for the title. No other teams in the East will come close to tipping these 3 honchos.

Then Jefferson moves to the Spurs, as well as Bowen retiring. Everyone's happy to not see Bowen again. Of course because he's the notoriously dirty undercutter, who rolled too many stars' ankles to name. VC, Stevie Franchise (man whatever the hell happened to this guy), Ray Allen, etc, etc. & of course with Jefferson moving to the Spurs, the Nets are in tank mode, with a huge cap space, hoping to land LeBron once they move to Brooklyn.

Speaking of LeBron, the Cavs traded for Shaq. The old, ancient giant of the early 00s. For the people who thinks Shaq's got a big mouth and Shaq sucks he's an attention (eh family friendly site I guess I can't use that word), all those shenanigans about why he's such a big name, or maybe Shaq got his name recognized like how Paris Hilton does. Shaq used to be the biggest beast ever, like a virtual 20' giant whom would just trample over everyone, absolutely everyone, not even Zeus was able to stop him in the paint. That was Shaq back when he was a Laker with, then ballhogging & not a leader, Kobe. However, Shaq's still a major upgrade over a washed up Ben Wallace and a washed up Big Z. Big Ben losing his athleticism basically means he can't anchor the defense in the paint. Nor can he do anything in the paint to stop anyone because he can't hop no more.

& then we have the whole Delonte West shenanigans with how he's carrying loaded guns on a motorcycle, now apparently he's in Maryland after skipping all so many training camps. Well, best of luck to Delonte in getting help needed.

& to all the fans from China, it's too bad to see Yao go down with that foot injury of his for the year. I guess all the year round basketball has caught up to him. & of course the blame goes to the Chinese officials that forces Yao to play on the national team year after year after year. With Yao gone, Artest gone, the Rockets are pretty much done for the season. Don't bother with TMac & his tiny glimpse of hope with his back injury. Yes I did roll the dice on TMac in Fantasy Basketball because, apparently, TMac has talked about how great his back's feeling, how great he's feeling. Well, let's hope it's all true because I would like to see him ball at the level back when he was a Magic again. Then again, maybe someone gives TMac a nudge on his back & there goes his season again.
