Game Guide: Side Bets

You can place a side bet on a player, which is a bet that they will win the hand. Side bets are wagered with Jacks.
  • Side bet features are available to players that have turned on the Side Betting setting on their account.
  • You cannot be active in a hand when you place a side bet.
  • You can bet on a hand you were playing, after you fold.
  • You can only side bet on a player currently active in a hand.
  • Side bets cannot be canceled once placed.
  • At showdown, side bets will pay out if there is at least one side bet on a winning player and at least one side bet on a losing player.
  • If a side bet does not pay out (based on the above), all side bettors will have their side bets refunded for that hand.
  • At showdown, side bet winner(s) will split the side bet pot.
  • If the Side Bet Phase room option has been turned on, there may be an additional phase before cards are revealed to allow for any last-second side bets.
You can place side bets from different places (note that the "Side Betting" setting must be on for these controls to appear):
  • While sitting, if it's valid to place a side bet at that time, a "Side Bet" button will appear below the table area. Click the button, then click the seated player you want to side bet on.
  • In the "Side Bets" panel, a "Side Bet" button will appear and be enabled if a side bet can be made. Click the button, then click the seated player you want to side bet on.
  • While viewing a player in the "Player Info" panel, a "Side Bet" button will appear and be enabled if a side bet can be made. Clicking it will immediately place the side bet on that player.
